Mobile Career Exploration Classroom (MCEC)
The MCEC project is to expose high school students to critical need careers and others available in the Region as a workforce initiative to retain students in Region III. Through the use of virtual reality videos students can see what a job make look like to help determine a career path after high school. Ann Pollert, with AMP Consulting, LLC is the career coach and is conducting working with high school career counselors, teachers and principals to assist individual students with career interests.
This project is a collaboration of economic development offices including Cavalier County JDA, Benson County JDA, Forward Devils Lake, Ramsey County, Rolette County, Eddy County, New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation and Towner County EDC.
Regional Livestock Development and Planning Grant
The ND Department of Agriculture Regional Livestock and Planning Grant program is to assist counties in livestock development planning. Uses include site analysis, coordinating strategic planning and accommodating and encouraging investment in livestock production. NCPC is assisting five Region III counties including Cavalier, Eddy, Ramsey, Rolette and Towner to create strategic plans that identify suitable locations for rural economic development, including animal feeding operations, agriculture processing, storage facilities and other agriculture related development.
Housing Preservation
In 2025 NCPC received a grant through ND USDA RD of $50,000 for the Moeller Home in Maddock, ND. NCPC partnered with Benson County Housing Authority to replace the roof, rain gutters, downspouts, storm doors, and a hot water heater, Local funds were contributed by BCHA.
