North Central Planning Council Region III CEDS
The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) plan was prepared under an award from the Economic Development Administration. The plan is an expression of the goals and intent of the Region III CEDS committee and North Central Planning Council. The plan is developed with input and feedback from throughout the six counties of Region III including Benson, Eddy, Cavalier, Ramsey, Rolette, and Towner.
Every five years, the NCPC planning region develops the CEDS which provides valuable information on the planning region including:
- The current economic and demographic condition of the planning region;
- Analysis of regional strengths and weaknesses;
- Proposes action on issues affecting the Region; population decline, diversification of the economy, emerging industries, infrastructure needs, and resiliency; and
- Provides the framework for the planning Region to be eligible for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration funding.
